Hollow book

I started making a hollow book for my friend as a present. While making it I realized how much I miss creating. I've more or less stopped writing, and it's been years since I made any crafts. So I decided to use this blog to write about whatever I make, and anything else that I will feel like writing about.
I googled "how to make a hollow book" and looked at the first few sites that came up. They all had more or less the same instructions and so I just went along with the general guidelines, mainly using this site - http://how2dostuff.blogspot.co.il/2006/02/how-to-make-secret-hollow-book.html . I did find a few sites that used those same photos, so I'm not sure if this is where they were originally posted.
My main problem was that even with the aid of a ruler, my cuts were slightly different each time, so the edges are rather ragged. If I try this again then rather than each time cutting out a page or two, I'll try cutting through many layers on one side at a time, so the ruler will shift less. All in all I'm pretty pleased with how it came out.

Any comments or ideas of what I should make next?
